Thornton’s innovative chloride and sulphate analyser uses microfluidic capillary electrophoresis, an ionic separation technology, to directly measure trace levels of harmful sulphate and chloride ions. With on-line measurements every 45 minutes, the analyser automatically performs direct chloride and sulphate measurements in the water/steam cycle, allowing immediate detection of sample contamination. The most important point in the cycle is at the turbine inlet, to ensure that only acceptable levels of chlorides and sulphates enter with the steam into the turbine.
Features:
- This more affordable on-line system reduces labor costs and also eliminates the risk and expense associated sample contamination within the lab.
- Precise 2-point calibration technology ensures that the analyser continuously measures within required specifications and the Intelligent Sensor Management (ISM®) technology provides predictive diagnostics regarding maintenance and consumable replacement.
- The intuitive touchscreen, allows for ease of operation and the analyser is able to provide trend graphs that reflect changes in water cycle chemistry and plant conditions over time.
